National Seminar at BN Pharmacy College
A two-day National Seminar on “Challenges in Using Alternatives to Animals: Possibilities & Limitations” began today at Bhupal Nobles Pharmacy College, under the joint efforts of All India Technical Education Council, New Delhi and Pharmacology Department, BN College.
A two-day National Seminar on “Challenges in Using Alternatives to Animals: Possibilities & Limitations” began today at Bhupal Nobles Pharmacy College, under the joint efforts of All India Technical Education Council, New Delhi and Pharmacology Department, BN College.
Dr. S. S. Sarangdevot, Vice Chancellor, Rajasthan Vidyapeeth shed light on the value and importance of the subject and what alternatives could be looked upon. Dr. Mukul Mathur, Dean, Pharmacy Department, Rajasthan Health Science University, Jaipur and Dr. Meena Aatrey, Department Head, Pharmacology, RNT Medical College, Udaipur were the special guests of the event.
Dr. Mukul talked about, how the experiments of drugs, cosmetics and such products are done on animals and about its significance; whereas Dr. Meena explained about the alternative of using computer simulation in testing medicines, as nearly 92% of medicines found safe while experimenting on animals, was harmful for humans at the same time.
150 attendees took part in the Research Poster Exhibition and Dr. N Ganesh, Dr. RupeshSoni and Dr. Manish Sharma presented their lectures on the first day of the seminar.
Dr. MS Ranawat and Dr. SS Sisodiya welcomed the guest and presented memoirs to them in the beginning of the event.
