Udaipur, January 7, 2025 - The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced a reduction in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 qualifying percentile. The revised cut-offs apply to all categories, making more students eligible for counselling.
Revised Cut-Off for General and EWS Categories
General and EWS category students scoring 15 percentile or above can now participate in the NEET PG counselling.
New Cut-Off for Reserved Categories
For students from SC, ST, OBC, and PwD categories, the qualifying percentile has been reduced to 10 percentile or above, making counselling accessible to more candidates.
Previous Year Cut-Off Trends
Last year, the NEET PG qualifying percentile was reduced to zero across all categories.
In 2022, the general category cut-off was brought down from the 50th percentile to 35th, while the unreserved PwD cut-off dropped from 45th percentile to 20th. For SC, ST, and OBC candidates, the cut-off was reduced from 40th percentile to 20th percentile.
This move aims to widen the scope for aspirants to secure postgraduate medical seats in counselling.
