The National Testing Agency (NTA) has expanded its horizons for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 by introducing new exam centers abroad. Kuwait City, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Colombo, Doha, Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur, Lagos, Manama, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah and Singapore have been included in the list of exam center cities.
The registration process for NEET UG 2024 commenced on February 9 and will continue until March 9, 2024, providing ample time for aspiring candidates to apply for the exam. This move by the NTA aims to facilitate students who are residing abroad or prefer taking the exam in foreign centers due to various reasons.
In the NEET UG 2024 exam, several changes have been introduced. The application form, previously found on neet.nta.nic.in, can now be accessed on a new website, neet.ntaonline.in. Additionally, the application fee has been raised for all candidate categories.
Moreover, the NTA has ensured flexibility for candidates who initially selected centers within India and paid the fees, without the option for foreign centers. During the NEET UG 2024 application correction process, these candidates will have the opportunity to amend their center and country choices, as announced by the NTA.
Candidates located in foreign countries who wish to modify their test centers to cities in other countries have the opportunity to make corrections during the application correction process. Nevertheless, it is important to note that they will be obligated to settle any price difference, as specified by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Candidates applying from foreign countries can easily select their desired test centers in foreign countries directly from the drop-down menu provided in the NEET UG application form. All necessary information, including the application form, information bulletin, syllabus and exam pattern, is accessible at neet.ntaonline.in.
This development reflects NTA's commitment to providing equitable opportunities for all aspiring medical students, irrespective of their geographical locations. It also aligns with the growing trend of internationalization in education, catering to the diverse needs and preferences of NEET UG candidates.
