Recommendations by the R. Radhakrishnan Committee in NEET Paper Leak Case
In the NEET paper leak case, the R. Radhakrishnan Committee, formed on the Supreme Court's directives, has made key recommendations.
Reorganization of NTA Suggested
The committee has recommended the reorganization of the National Testing Agency (NTA). It suggested developing a Digi Exam System, similar to the Digi Yatra system used for airport verification. This system would ensure proper student verification.
The Central Government has submitted the report to the Supreme Court and assured the implementation of all recommendations.
Testing Centers in Government Institutions
The committee proposed that testing centers should be established only in government institutions. These include Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya schools, and central or state-level universities.
Each district must have at least one testing center. If private institutions are selected, they must undergo strict police and administrative verification.
Mobile Testing Centers Proposed
The committee also suggested setting up mobile testing centers in buses. Each bus could accommodate around 40-50 students, equipped with laptops and servers.
A fleet of five such buses could serve as a single test center for 150 students. These mobile centers could be especially useful in remote or underserved areas.
