NEET UG Admit Card Released

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the admit cards for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 today, on May 2, 2024. Aspiring candidates can download their hall tickets from the official NEET website — exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/ NEET UG is conducted once in a year as an eligibility/ entrance test for medical courses in India by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Exam Schedule and Duration

NEET UG 2024 is slated to take place on May 5, 2024, commencing at 2:00 pm and concluding at 5:20 pm. This pen-paper-based test will run for a duration of three hours and twenty minutes. 

Question Paper Structure

The NEET UG 2024 exam consists of four subjects, each divided into two sections. Section A comprises 35 questions, while Section B contains 15 questions. Candidates have the option to attempt any 10 questions out of the 15 provided in Section B. 

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the minimum age requirement to appear for NEET UG 2024, which is 17 years. This means that they must have been born on or before December 31, 2006. There is no upper age limit for candidates applying for the exam.

Result Declaration

The results for NEET UG 2024 are scheduled to be announced on June 14.  

Revised Eligibility Criteria for Indian Candidates Abroad

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has updated the eligibility criteria for Indian nationals residing abroad. According to the new guidelines, Indian nationals, NRIs, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and foreign nationals are now eligible for admission to medical, dental, ayurveda, siddha, unani, and homeopathy colleges in India. Previously, these candidates were categorized as foreigners and were only considered eligible for NRI seats, excluding Indian national seats, including paid seats in deemed universities.

Medium of Question Paper

NTA has issued a clarification regarding the medium of the question paper for NEET UG 2024. In their statement, they reaffirmed that candidates who choose English will receive their test booklet solely in English. For those opting for Hindi, the test booklet will be bilingual, containing questions in both English and Hindi. Likewise, candidates selecting regional languages will also receive a bilingual test booklet, comprising selected regional languages and English.

Prohibited Items at NEET UG 2024 Exam Centers

  1. Textual material, including printed or written materials, bits of paper, geometry/pencil boxes, plastic pouches, calculators, pens, scales, writing pads, pen drives, erasers, log tables, electronic pens/scanners, etc.
  2.  Communication devices such as mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands, etc.
  3.  Other items like wallets, goggles, handbags, belts, caps, etc.
  4.  Watches/wristwatches, bracelets, cameras, etc.
  5. Ornaments and metallic items.
  6.  Food items, whether opened or packed, water bottles, etc.
  7.  Any other item that could potentially facilitate unfair means, including hiding communication devices like microchips, cameras, Bluetooth devices, etc.

Downloading NEET UG 2024 Admit Card Online

  1.  Visit the official NEET website at neet.nta.nic.in.
  2. Click on the admit card link provided on the homepage.
  3.  Enter the required credentials (application number and date of birth) to log in.
  4. Access and download the admit card.
  5. Save the admit card for future reference.

Here's what you need to bring to the exam center

  1. A color photograph with a white background, sized 4" x 6", pasted on the proforma downloaded with your admit card. This proforma, along with the photograph, should be submitted to the invigilator in the examination hall.
  2. One authorized photo ID from the following options (original and valid):

   - PAN card
   - Driving License
   - Voter ID
   - Passport
   - Aadhaar Card
   - Ration Card
   - Class 12 admit card with photograph
   - Any other valid photo ID issued by the government.

3. If you are claiming relaxation under the PwBD category, bring along the PwBD certificate issued by the competent authority.
