An objectionable post by a Kashmiri student studying in SS Engineering college resulted in uproar in Udaipur. The Kashmiri student had posted on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. The post content did not go down with a lot of groups and there were protests held in the city. Police has started investigation after receiving a written complaint.

After the post was made, quite a few community members reached Umarda based SS College of Engineering and carried out a large protest. The protesters demanded that the college administration take strict action against the student and his degree should also be withheld.

College administration responded by saying that the student’s comments were particularly provoking against certain communities and they would ask the associated University and AICTE to also initiate action against the student.

The administration said that they cannot accept the actions of the student. As per the college administration, the student completed his B.Tech education in the last session.

Considering the protests, the student later removed the post from his Facebook page.

Hiran Magri police is investigating the matter. The college administration has promised full support to the police investigation.
