Officers of the Indian Navy meet students at GITS

Students of Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies (GITS) were given a talk on joining the Indian Navy. The talk was conducted by the Collector of Udaipur and officers of the Indian Navy.

Collector Bishnu Charan Malick, Commodore Bhupesh Tated and Commodore Tiwari of the Indian Navy began the session with the traditional lighting of the lamp.

Dr Vikas Mishra, Director GITS informed that the Collector and the Naval officers, in their message to students, enforced commitment towards goals. The students were made aware of the fact that partial fulfilment of goals will never help them realise their dreams and consistent hard work and commitment will only drive them to success. The Collector spoke about the exemplary efforts of the Indian Navy and motivate the students to join the Navy.

Naval Officer, Commodore Bhupesh Tated spoke about the initiatives of the Indian Navy and the role the force played in protecting the country and countrymen. He also threw light on the fact that the Indian Navy has plenty of options and opportunities for Engineers. Students of Engineering can look at the Indian Navy to provide them avenues for research, growth and development.

Commodore Tated further explained that with the advent of techology, maintenance of existing defence equipment, conception, design and production of new equipment indegineously provide opportunities for engineers of all branches. He explained the recruitment of women in the Indian Navy and reiterated the fact that people of the nation feel safe because of the efforts of the Armed Forces.

The Naval team was in Udaipur as a part of their road journey across from Mumbai to Leh with a motive of driving home the emotion of national pride. He explained that the Navy has great opportunities for Engineers and that the Navy provides engineers with the challenges they seek. He further educated the students about the Naval Dockyard.

“Giving services to the Nation by joining any of the Armed forces is a matter of pride for every individual and it should not be ignored”, he added.
