A One week workshop is being organized by the
Computer Society of India, Udaipur chapter and
University Computer Centre, M.L. Sukhadia University, Udaipur at Vigyan Bhawan from 7
th January, 2012 and will continue till 12
th January, 2012. The timing will be from 1:30pm to 7pm.
MATLAB stands for Matrix Laboratory. MATLAB is a high-performance numerical computing environment and Fourth Generation Language for technical computing. It integrates computation, visualization, and programming in an easy-to-use environment where problems and solutions are expressed in familiar mathematical notation.
It can be used for
math and computation,
algorithm development,
modeling, simulation, and prototyping,
data analysis, exploration, and visualization.
MATLAB is an interactive system whose basic data element is an array that does not require dimensioning. This allows you to solve many technical computing problems, especially those with matrix and vector formulations, in a fraction of the time it would take to write a program in a scalar non-interactive language such as ‘C’ or ‘FORTRAN’. During the workshop, emphasis will be given on communication, signal and image processing. The faculty delivering the program will be arriving from
Dhirubhai Ambani Institute for Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT), Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat and
Engineering College, Surat. Dr. Mehul from DA-IICT will be conducting the first three days session. Dr. Mehul has 15 years of experience on MATLAB and has already published more than 20 International and National papers. He has also chaired many International conferences. The participants are expected from Industry, Government and Academics. This information has been provided to us by Dr. Azimuddin Khan, Chairman, CSI and Mr. Mazher Hussain, Organizing Secreatry, CSI.
