-Exams will be in conventional written mode.
-As stated by CBSE, there was no proposal to conduct online board exams.
With all the confusion going on about studies and the examinations and the re-opening of schools, CBSE has stated that board examinations for 10th and 12th standards will be in the conventional written mode. The central education board has ruled out the possibility of online exams. It has also been stated that there was no proposal of conducting online exams.
The exams will be held in the regular written mode. The dates have, however, not yet been decided for the exams. The Ministry for Education said that exams are very important to ensure the progress of students. Amid the “new normal”, wide discussions with parents, teachers and students have been underway.
Prior to this, the Union Education Minister had said that online education is a big challenge for the students who are away from schools and colleges, but they should be ready to face the challenges and turn them into an opportunity.
The Education Minister has also planned a 3-stage dialogue with teachers, parents and alumni for conducting the exams. He might communicate directly with parents, students and the teachers through webinars. After this webinar, it will be decided as to how to plan the conducting of exams.
It may be noted that schools and colleges are closed until 31st December in certain specific states.
