All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi organized a competition based on simulation management skills in Hyderabad where students of MBA from Pacific University won the first prize.

The competition consisted of 4 stages. Around 227 management institutes from all over the country participated in it.

Under the guidance of assistant professor Shivoham Singh (Management Faculty), students Prateek Mandot, Gaurav Jain, Suraj Rathore and Mansoor Hussain won a cash prize of Rs. 80,000 and a PC Tablet for every member of the team.

The team was awarded by Sandeep Bahal, President of AIMA, Nageshwar Rao, President of Hyderabad Management Association and many other dignitaries in a grand event hosted on 1st November.

In management simulation every team represents a hypothetical venture. They have to take decisions for every department in a supposed environment. All the decisions are fed in the unique software by AIMA called ‘Chanakya’.

Accordingly, various options are made available to the teams. Then each team thinking as an actual management unit takes series wise decisions. Thereafter, the software generates the results.

Pacific University’s MBA students won this competition for the second time in a row.
