People with Disability should become Capable: Dr. Mathur

Vice Chancellor Dr.VC Nahar, Dr. DM Mathur, HoD of Dept of Psychiatry, Medical Superintendent Dr. Pramila Bajaj and Dr. Pallav Bhatnagar, Principal of Physiotherapy college were present.
The program started with the launch of song: I am disabled..main kuch kar nahi sakta, lekar chalo ab mujhe tum. The chief guest Dr. DM Mathur said that the sedentary lifestyle is the main cause behind large cases of chronic diseases, death and mental stress. The need is to implement proper exercise routine, healthy food and a balanced life.
Various competitions were held based on disability that showcased the annoyance of acid attack victims, suicide case and people born with disability.
The winners of ‘poster making with mouth and feet’ were Niyati Thakkar (I), Kanta Godhar (II) and Priyanka Joshi (III). In the ‘rehabilitation’ first prize winners were Shreya Joshi and Mansi Gehlot (foot mouse), second were Megha Rathi and Kirti Maheshwari (shoulder exercise) and third were Rekha Sen and Nirmala Patel (terminal device).
In dance, BPT III year (first), BPT II year (second) and BPT I year (third) stood winners. The best performer of role play were BPT III year. The best performers were Priyanka Joshi, Sudarshan Kumar Aada (I year), Seema Motwani (II year) and Arpita Polra (III year).
