The poster release of “Kaala Akshar Bhains Barabar” under the banner of NSS at Guru Govind Singh Sr. Sec. School was the centre of attraction today, for the rural and illiterate audiences. The poster was inaugurated by a village illiterate. Looking forward to the international literacy day, the program was a step forward for upgrade of the illiterates.

Basically, the program aimed to teach the people of remote and rural areas the 48 alphabets of Hindi language. The alphabets were introduced to attendees in the form of words and images, each word starting with a different alphabet, demonstrated using the image of buffalo.

Rural people were enthralled with poster inaugural and group songs delivered by the students on the occasion.

“The theme of learning was buffalo, because this animal is attached very deeply in the daily and routine life of the villagers. That’s why I decided to make them understand and learn through a medium which is easy for them to comprehend. My aim is to make the illiterate’s way easy towards learning”, said Sanjay Badala, Lecturer English and In-charge of NSS unit, Guru Govind Sr. Sec. School.

Badala further addressed the students that, the Women literacy rate in Rajasthan is 52.2 %, which is the least when compared to other states of India.

Badala said, “I have directed the students while handing over the pamphlets of the poster, that, they have to teach as many illiterates as they can. After a certain period of time they will be asked to give the feedback of their efforts.”

“We have put in efforts for social awareness like this in the past and will surely carry out in future too”, concluded the In-charge of NSS Unit.

On the occasion, Principal Kailash Chandra Paliwal said, “To teach an illiterate through this sort of process is a true service to the nation.”
