The grounds of government schools will be now available on rent for wedding parties and other functions to general public. Collector Ashutosh Pednekar issued orders in this respect on Friday to DEO secondary and elementary.

Collector informed that the rent received by the government schools for the ground will in turn be deposited in the development fund of the school. The school administration will use the amount for its development work.

Pednekar has firmly said that the renting out of the grounds for public events should not hinder the education process of the school.

Under this proposal, the rural will be benefited as a big ground will be made available for family and community functions plus the school grounds are not coming of any use, as of now.

There are few schools in villages with big enough grounds to organize two functions at the same time.
