QR Code Now Mandatory on Academic Credentials in State
Rajasthan government mandates QR codes on university degrees, diplomas, mark sheets and migration certificates to stop fake documents in recruitments
Udaipur, Dec 26, 2025 - The Rajasthan government has made it mandatory to print QR codes on degrees, diplomas, mark sheets and migration certificates issued by all government and private universities in the State. This decision was taken to curb the growing menace of fake degrees and forged educational documents used to secure jobs
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has recommended this after multiple cases of suspicious and fake documents surfaced during recruitment processes. Verifying such documents often consumed considerable time and delayed selections.
Following RPSC’s suggestions, the Higher Education Department has officially issued instructions to all universities. This system will make tampering with records nearly impossible and ensure quick digital verification during recruitments.
Key Changes
- QR codes will be mandatory not only on final degrees, but also on provisional certificates, migration certificates and other academic credentials.
- All universities must implement a standardised enrolment system.
- Students will be allotted year-wise and sequential enrolment numbers every year.
