Udaipur, Aug 9, 2025 - To improve the availability of essential infrastructure for education in the State, the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT) budget is set to transform the condition of schools in the district. The Trust's Chairman and District Collector, Namit Mehta, has issued administrative approval of more than Rs 90 crore for 598 different projects focused on the modernisation, renovation and construction of new classrooms in the district’s schools.

Approval of Rs 80 crore has been issued for sub-district hospitals in Jhadol and Kotda, and Rs 29 crore has been sanctioned for an Eklavya Model School in Devla.

Among the 598 approved projects are the construction of new classrooms, development of playgrounds, establishment of libraries, construction of toilet blocks and approval for multi-purpose domes in several schools. For two of these projects, the Public Works Department (PWD) has been appointed as the executing agency, while the remaining works will be carried out under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.

After receiving technical approvals, financial sanctions will be issued and work on these projects will commence soon.

Collector Mehta shared that a steady stream of proposals for upgrading government school infrastructure had been pouring in and the administration wasted no time. These were promptly granted administrative approval under DMFT.
