Rajasthan to have 4 new Medical Colleges

Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stones of 4 new medical colleges in Rajasthan on Thursday virtually.

The 4 medical colleges will be set up in Banswara, Dausa, Sirohi and Hanumangarh districts.

The Prime Minister also inaugurated the CIPET: Institute of Petrochemicals Technology, Jaipur.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stones for 4 new medical colleges in Rajasthan on Thursday. He also inaugurated the CIPET: Institute of Petrochemicals Technology, Jaipur. The medical colleges will be set up in Banswara, Dausa, Hanumangarh and Sirohi districts.

The Medical Colleges have been sanctioned under the centrally sponsored scheme for “Establishment of new medical colleges attached with district/ referral hospitals”, as informed by the PMO. It may be noted that 157 new medical colleges have been approved across the country. The office also said that preference to set up medical colleges has been given to underserved, backward, and aspirational districts.

The Prime Minister while addressing the masses said that it is extremely important to spread the network of super-specialty hospitals rapidly to every corner of the country as the biggest pandemic has taught a lot to the health sector of the world.
