Rajasthan University PG Admissions 2023 start

For the upcoming academic year 2023-24, Rajasthan University (RU) has unveiled an expansion of 10% in seat allocation for both Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programs. The expansion will result in an additional 670 seats being offered for Undergraduate (UG) courses, while Postgraduate (PG) courses, initially planned for 3200 seats, will now accommodate an extra 320 seats. As a result of these adjustments, the total number of seats available at Rajasthan University for the upcoming academic year 2023-24 will exceed 10,000.

A notification issued by Dr. Kuldeep Mishra, the Deputy Registrar of Rajasthan University (RU), announces a reversal of a previous decision made during a RU syndicate meeting. The decision involves increasing the seat capacity for the upcoming academic year, overturning the initial plan to maintain the current seat allocation.

The decision to increase enrollment has been influenced by a wave of student protests that occurred during this election year. This expansion will have a significant impact on affiliate colleges under Rajasthan University, including Maharani College, Maharaja College, Commerce College, and Rajasthan College. Initially, these colleges were scheduled to admit students to over 6700 seats in a range of courses, such as BA, B.Com, B.Sc pass course, Certificate course with Honors course, Diploma, BCA, BBA, and BPA.
