On July 20 and 21 2024, the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) conducted the RAS main exam at two centers in the city: Guru Gobind Singh Senior Secondary School and Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Residency.
High Attendance of Candidates
During the first shift, which took place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 852 out of 986 candidates attended, while 134 were absent. The second shift, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, saw 846 candidates present out of 986, with 140 absences. The attendance rates for the two shifts were 85.80% and 85.40%, respectively.
Challenging Questions Than Previous Exams
The exam pattern was described as descriptive by analysts Shubham Jain and Principal Sanjay Loonawat. Both question papers covered topics from the syllabus, with a focus on current issues in relevant fields.
The first paper included questions on history, economics, sociology, management, accounting, and auditing. The second paper covered administrative policy, general science and technology, and earth science. Questions required deep understanding and analytical skills, with some related to rock phosphate, ChatGPT, artificial intelligence, milkman, birdman, and nanotechnology. Candidates noted that the papers were more challenging than previous exams.
