RAS 2021 passed candidates protest against lengthy delay in interview schedule

Candiates are eagerly waiting for the interview process since nine months now

A group of around 2,200 candidates, who successfully cleared the RAS Mains 2021 exam, have been anxiously awaiting their interviews for the past nine months. In a collective effort, they gathered at the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) office on Thursday to protest and request the scheduling of their interviews. The candidates also voiced their demand for RPSC to establish a recruitment calendar similar to that of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

Speaking to the media, the candidates expressed their concerns and shared that they had submitted a memorandum to the Joint Secretary, highlighting the fact that the RAS exam had been initiated but remained inconclusive. Consequently, they explained that this uncertainty had made it difficult for them to concentrate on preparing for other exams.

“There should be a fixed calender of RPSC, so that candidates know the schedule of exams.” - said a candidate.

According to official sources, the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) is currently facing pressure due to frequent instances of paper leaks and the recent arrest of RPSC member Babulal Katara in connection with a teacher's recruitment exam leak case.

“They are not able to take a decision on conducting exams because different investigating agencies are involved and there is all-round chaos.” - Said Sources.

The candidates approach reflects their determination and eagerness to move forward with the recruitment process. It remains to be seen how the RPSC responds to their plea and takes necessary steps to address the situation.
