The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) plans to conduct practical exams for Class 12 students in the first week of January, following the pattern of the CBSE board. The final dates for these exams will be announced soon.
The board is making this adjustment to manage both the REET 2024 exam and board exams, which are scheduled close together. Last year, practical exams for regular Class 12 students started on January 18 and continued until mid-February, while private students had their practical exams between February 15 and 20. This year, the board aims to complete all practical exams for regular students by January itself.
Increased Participation Expected
According to the RBSE report, more than 3 lakh students took part in the practical exams for science and some arts subjects last year. This number is expected to increase as the enrollment of Class 12 students has risen this year.
The board faces the challenge of organizing the REET and board exams simultaneously. With this in mind, RBSE plans to release the practical exam schedule soon. The examination branch is actively preparing to handle this busy exam season.
