UdaipurTimes, Oct 7, 2026 - The Rajasthan Medical Education Society (Raj-MES) is preparing to convert around 300 seats that remained vacant under the NRI quota into Management Quota seats. This will be a good opportunity for students seeking MBBS admission in Rajasthan’s government medical colleges run by the Rajasthan Medical Education Society (Raj-MES). The availability of vacant NRI seats will increase options for those whose ranks are not high enough to secure a government quota seat.

Domestic students will get an opportunity to secure admission to these seats at a comparatively lower fee. The annual fee under the NRI quota is around Rs 25 lakh, whereas the same seat under the Management Quota will be available for around Rs 10 lakh per year.

Management Quota seats in Raj-MES medical colleges are also allotted through NEET UG counselling.

The change is expected at a time when a large number of NRI seats are still awaiting allotment in the third round of NEET UG counselling. This could be the last chance for NRI quota students to join.

As per reports, vacancies exist in top-tier government medical colleges in the State.
