Schools will reopen for classes 8 to 12 .

Students need the consent of their parents for attending schools.

The government has laid emphasis on the schools following SOP and also that each class must have only 20 students.

The reopening of schools in the covid times is a big question. Whether children will ever get to sit and study in their schools is quite a topic to discuss.

The government released an update on Wednesday regarding the reopening of schools. The previous directives stated that schools would be reopened for classes 8 to 12 from the 15th of July in no-covid zones. The update states that schools can be opened in the zones where there is not even a single case of covid. Physical classes would start but after the consent of the parents.

It may be noted that the government resolution stated that there should not be more than 20 students in a class to ensure proper social distancing.

Rajasthan government is still undecided about the reopening of schools. However private schools are likely to open up from the 16th of July. A president of one of the schools even said that he would open the school with 50 percent strength as students in rural areas are suffering a lot.

The president also said that their association tried imparting online education but since most of the students do not have proper mobile phones and even the internet service is not good, they are unable to attend online classes. This is the main reason that physical classes are being preferred.

Basically safety of the students is of utmost importance. Schools must be reopened but vaccination of the students is a must before going to school. Vaccination would at least ensure that the children will be safe even if they are infected as the vaccines promise safety to a great extent. Without vaccination for the kids, many parents are worried as the reopening of schools can prove to be quite a tough time for all.
