It simply converts vegetable oil into biodiesel. The concept is not new but it is the first microscopic version created by Y.B Mathur who is a lecturer in Polytechnic College of Bikaner and his team of students. According to Mathur, the process works first by reacting vegetable oil by Methanol by using Potassium Hydroxide as a catalyst. Then by keeping it to 60-65 degree and then on 200 RMP before leaving it on a room temperature, lastly the glycerin comes down and biodiesel floats on top.

AC Cooler

Report: A Platform for ‘Jugaads’ at Pacific College

It is one of the most ‘LIKED’ jugaad by the student of Pacific College Lokesh Sharma who made an air conditioning cooler which gives freezing air till 0 degree temperature. A compressor and condenser linked with the copper pipes are attached on the top of simple room cooler. According to Lokesh, it consumes 0.25 units of electricity per hour.

Hybrid Vehicle

Mukesh Kumar of Poornima Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jaipur has made a vehicle which can run on multi energies including solar, wind, regenerating breaking energy and electricity. In case of cloudy weather, the person can change the energy from solar to wind or other options available.

Electronic Appliance Mobile Control System

Report: A Platform for ‘Jugaads’ at Pacific College

Farmers can get an alarm if the electricity supply is either cut off or started or there is any need to monitor the supply. It is a complete monitoring system designed by Shreeram Legha an LIC agent from Bikaner.
