Anisa Tinwala completed her Ph.D. on Issues, Problems and Prospects of Career Path Management in Education under the guidance of Dr. Sushma Talesra from Vidya Bhawan G.S. Teachers Colleges; on the culmination of which, she received her Doctorate Degree from the Department of Education, Mohan Lal Sukhadia University.

The research findings show that the present education system is not supportive to the students in Career Path Management (CPM). Rural and Urban students & Govt. and Non Govt. school students differ significantly in problems faced by them in CPM, but there is no significant difference in the problems faced by Girls and Boys.

Students face average to high level of problems in all four levels of CPM i.e. Self-Career Need Assessment, Career Opportunity Scanning, Need-Opportunity Alignment and Target Achievement.

Shortage of staff, lack of trained career counselors in schools, lack of career awareness among teachers, lack of budget, lack of clear-policies and political will power are some of the major problems faced at school and higher administration level.

Majority of the respondents were of the opinion that career preparation should start after 9th class; there should be separate trained career teachers. While there is no need for separate career program for boys and girls, career studies should be part of the syllabus and the schools should support the students, minimum up to the ‘Alignment ‘stage.

In the end, a Suggestive Model of CPM in school education is proposed by the researcher to enrich CPM for times to come in school education.
