She was on the 4th position in the list. A revaluation made her jump from the 4th position to the Top most position in the list. Siddhi Banthia, a student of Commerce stream from Maharana Mewar Public School, attained 94.4 percent marks in English in 12th CBSE exams. She had expected more marks in English, hence she applied for revaluation. From 87, Siddhi’s marks rose to 96 after revaluation. This increased her overall percentage to 96.2 and she became the district topper.

Vaishali Shrimali and Chelsey Somani had initially shared the Top position with 96 percent marks. With Siddhi’s marks going beyond the two candidates, she became the topper on the list leaving Vaishali and Chelsey sharing the Second place. Recently Siddhi also bagged 5th position in Company Secretary Olympiad on International level.

Siddhi’s mother Harsha Banthia said that Siddhi was not getting admission in any prestigious college because of less marks. Now that revaluation has given her a jump, she has got admission in Miranda House College, Delhi which is one of the top most colleges in the list of Human Resource Ministry.

Results declared by CBSE were under question this time as many students got marks less than what they had expected in one or two subjects. Since the marking was doubtful, students had asked for their answer copies from the Board. It was discovered that students had correctly answered the questions but marks were not allotted properly. Complaints were sent to Board Chairman and Education Minister.
