The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has announced new guidelines for online application aimed at enhancing the integrity of its examinations. These measures come in response to recent instances of fraud involving dummy candidates and ineligible applicants. The RPSC plans to implement these changes starting with its upcoming recruitment exams.
Thumb Impressions Over Photos
One of the key changes introduced by RPSC involves capturing thumb impressions of candidates over their photos during exams. This step aims to prevent impersonation and ensure only legitimate candidates participate.
RPSC has disclosed that several instances of fraud were discovered during eligibility verifications for various recruitment exams. These cases involved dummy candidates using admit cards that were fraudulently obtained, originally intended for legitimate applicants.
Online Application Process
The online application process has been updated to prevent ineligible applications. Now, applicants must upload clear photos with the application date clearly visible. This same photo will be required for verification at the examination center, to be presented on the attendance form.
Thumb Impression Requirement
Candidates must now scan and upload their left-hand thumb impression along with their signature during the online application. Additionally, candidates will have their thumb impression taken again at the examination hall to further authenticate their identity.
Proof of Experience Requirement
Another important update requires applicants to submit proof of relevant experience up to the application date. Applications without this proof will be rejected.
Aadhaar Card Verification
If the photograph on your Aadhaar card is over 3 years old, update it online before applying. This ensures that the photo on your admit card matches the current one on your Aadhaar card. Also, double-check other details such as your name, father's name, date of birth, and gender on your Aadhaar card, as these details may have been updated over time.
