Udaipur, March 25, 2025 - Online applications for admission under the Right to Education (RTE) in private schools of Rajasthan will be accepted from March 25 to April 7. Parents can choose up to five schools as options. Under RTE, 25% of seats in Class 1 and pre-primary in private schools are reserved for economically weaker students.  All private schools in Rajasthan must update their profiles on the RTE portal by March 24. Eligibility for RTE Admission

To apply under RTE, the child must be a permanent resident of Rajasthan, and the family’s annual income should be less than Rs 2.5 lakh.

Required Documents

  1. Income Certificate
  2. Child's Age Certificate
  3. Domicile Certificate
  4. Caste Certificate
  5. Below Poverty Line (BPL) card
  6. A working mobile number
  7. Passport-size photograph

Lottery and Admission Confirmation

The lottery results will be displayed in schools and on the RTE portal on April 9. Parents must confirm admission online between April 9 and April 15. Schools will check the applications by April 21.

Verification and Final Selection

On April 22, the National Informatics Centre (NIC) will auto-verify remaining applications. Parents can modify documents if needed. Schools can request rejection of applications till May 5, and final selection will be completed between May 9 and July 15.

How to Apply Online?

  • Parents can select up to five schools in their area.
  • It is mandatory to upload certificates for caste, residence, BPL, and disability.
  • While filling out the online form, parents must enter general details like district, block, gram panchayat, and village.
  • After selecting schools, they must click ‘Final Lock’ to submit the form.

What s RTE?

The Right to Education (RTE) Act was passed by the Indian Parliament on August 4, 2009. It ensures free and compulsory education for children aged 6 to 14 under Article 21 of the Indian Constitution. The Act allows children from economically weaker sections and reserved categories to get admission to private schools.
