RTO officials today seized 2 school vans that had overcrowded school going kids in them. The officials also made challans of other school vans.

Giving out details, an RTO official said that flying squad had received information through the Sampark portal about overcrowding of school vans. Basis the information, the team lay waiting for the school van outside Wisdom Home School at Ciphon.

The search revealed that van had filled in 13,14 and in cases even 18 students in a single van. Carrying students over the prescribed capacity is a crime and the vans were seized accordingly.

The flying squad official said that similar squads were in operation in other parts of the city as well and this operation is going to continue in the future as well.
