The message of school spread like wild-fire on social media resulting into District Education Officer demanding an explanation.

Hiran Magri Sec-14 situated Ryan International School landed in trouble today after issuing a notice stating that Independence day will be celebrated on 14-Aug since 15-Aug will be holiday on account of Janamashtmi. The message of school spread like wild-fire on social media resulting into District Education Officer demanding an explanation.

It so happened that all students of the school were given a notice yesterday that the school will remain closed on 15-Aug on account of Janamashtmi and school will celebrate Independence Day on 14-Aug. This notice from the school got widely circulated on Facebook and Whatsapp.

This message from school also reached two policemen based out of the associated Police Station. The policemen immediately reached the school and spoke with the Principal. The Principal immediately issued a revised notification to all parents at 11:30 am today inviting them for independence day celebrations on 15-Aug.

School Principal Poonam Rathore said that the circular was meant only for junior classes but mistakenly was distributed to all students. She said that like all years, Independence day celebrations will be held on 15-Aug.

Angered by the circular District Education Officer, Naresh Chandra Dangi questioned the school authorities whether they were Indians or not. He directed the school authorities to celebrate the Independence day on 15-Aug and submit photographs and videos of the event on 16-Aug at his office.
