Hostels will be merged
Hostel conditions need to improve and hence they need to be merged. As of now, the hostels of Sukhadia University have very less students. Hence basic needs like water and cleanliness are not available. Ramanujan Hostel recently got water supply after one year. VC Prof. J.P. Sharma held a meeting of the chief warden with other hostel wardens to improve the hostel conditions. Wardens threw light on the issues of hostels. It was decided that the female students living in Kamla Nehru hostel will be shifted to MDS hostel while the Kamla Nehru hostel undergoes repair and maintenance.
Students don’t read books
The reading skills of students are very poor. They have given up the habit of reading. Earlier a number of debate sessions were held but due to lack of or no reading, the students are not able to put forward their opinion on the topic of discussion. Also since the students are not able to voice out their problems, their communication skills need to be improved, the VC informed.
