Udaipur, February 6, 2025 - The Supreme Court has sent a notice to the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) regarding a petition asking for a fresh round three counselling for NEET PG 2024.
The petition was filed by three NEET PG candidates who claim that round three counselling was unfair. They say that round two counselling was not finished in some states, like Madhya Pradesh, before round three began. Because of this, some state quota candidates could block seats in AIQ (All India Quota) while also getting better seats in their state quota.
What do the petitioners want?
A fresh round three counselling to fix the issue.
A fourth round of counselling for the blocked seats.
An option for round three candidates to register for the stray vacancy round.
The case was heard by Justices BR Gavai and K Vinod Chandran. The Supreme Court will now wait for MCC's response.
