A meeting of school administrators from 10 major schools of the city was held today with Hemant Gera, District Collector of Udaipur, at collector’s office.

The agenda included placing a system in place whereby the schools in the city could be informed of any declarations of holidays for which it was assured that any such circulars in future will be emailed to them.

“The way it is now, even us [schools] come to know of holidays through the media sources which often creates an embarrassing situation from our side”, said Deepak Sharma, Director, CPS. “Parents as well having no knowledge of such declaration in most cases suffer a miscommunication”, he added.

Due to the abrupt change in weather, administrators further called for a review of currently declared holidays which was denied as the Collector cited the reasons for declaration of holidays to be high humidity too along with the heat wave that had gripped the region from past few days.

Schools which participated in the meeting included, Central Public School, MDS Public School, Rockwood’s Senior Secondary School, B.N. School, The Study, Alok Senior Secondary School, Central Academy, Seedling School, St. Anthony School, Delhi Public School and Scholar’s Arena.
