Search committee appointed for selection of the Vice Chancellor (V-C) of Mohan Lal Sukhadia University (MLSU) will meet on Oct 14-15. The committee is expected to finalise names to be proposed as par of the final list to be shared with State Government.

350 applications have been received for the post of V-C. A search committee was appointed for selection of the new V-C. The selection committee conducted its first meeting in Jaipur. This second meeting in Udaipur is expected to result in the final list to be sent to State Government for consideration.

Prof B.P.Saraswat is the representative in the committee from the State Government. Praveen Singh is the nominee from the University and Dr D.S. Chauhan is the nominee from UGC on the committee.

It may be noted that term of Prof I.V. Trivedi as V-C of MLSU had ended in June. Post that Prof Umashankar, V-C of MPUAT had taken up the role as additional charge for a short period.
