Second Day of the Annual Group Meeting on Tuber Crops

Three Technical sessions were held on day two of the All India Coordinated Research Project on Tuber Crops organized by the Department of Horticulture, Rajasthan College of Agriculture. The sessions were based on the research work done on major tuber crops like Ratalu, Shankarkand, Kasava, Arvi and Suran produced in India.

The first session, held on the Corn Production Techniques in Agriculture was led by Dr. P.L. Maliwal, Research Director, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT).

Second Day of the Annual Group Meeting on Tuber Crops

A Coordinated Plant Nurturing system was also recommended for the farmers of India by the session faculty.

Dr. Anand Raj, Director, Indian Spice Coordination Institution, Calicut and Dr. Jayant Tarafdar, Senior Scientist also presented their research and recommended ways to improve Tuber Crop production nurturing in the country.

Dr. Sunil Pareek will be the secretary of the 3-day event, which is being held from 18th June till 20th June.
