The 150 year old Government Girls’ School at Jagdish Chowk will undergo restoration with the help of Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation in which school’s big hall, four classrooms and 2 labs will be restored.

The 150 year old Government Girls’ School at Jagdish Chowk will undergo restoration with the help of Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation in which school’s big hall, four classrooms and 2 labs will be restored.

Deputy Secretary of Foundation Dr. Mayank Gupta said that the 150 year old established school will be restored keeping in mind the ethnicity and historical importance. It is to consider that Maharana Shambhu Singh had started this first school in Udaipur where the girls’ students studied Hindi, English, Urdu and Maths from specialized teachers.

Second Phase of restoration of 150-year-old Girls’ School begins

Presently, more than 600 girls are studying in the school headed by Principal Damini Dantya. The school administration took the help from the Foundation for the restoration of the 150 year old school.

This is the second phase of restoration. Previously in the first stage, Rs. 33 Lac was spent for renovating the outdoors of the school.
