Udaipur - A student has been suspended following rude interaction with his teacher at the Faculty of Management Studies, MLSU, Udaipur.

The incident occurred on September 26, when an e-Commerce class was being conducted for 1st Year MBA students at FMS, MLSU, Udaipur. The Professor, Sonu Nagauri, was in the middle of the class when one of the students, Muhammad Kaif, walked into the class, reportedly 40 minutes late. He went directly to his seat allegedly without following the correct protocol of asking for permission. On being reprimanded for being late to class and his inappropriate behavior, the student lost his temper and began hurling threats on the Professor. He said his father knows the District Collector well and he has no need for a Rs 20,000-25,000 job by attending this study course. On being reprimanded further, he spat on the floor and walked out of the class.

The entire episode was recorded by one of the classmates and shared on social media. As the video went viral, the Director of the Faculty, Prof. Meera Mathur took cogniscance of the matter. Mathur reported the incident to the Pratapnagar Police and suspended the student pending enquiry.

Sources have said that an inquiry panel has been set up to probe the incident. Till its decision, the student will remain suspended.

Members of the ABVP met with the Vice-Chancellor and demanded that the student be expelled.
