AIRA - Sir Padampat Singhania University Launches In-House AI Robot to Manage the Admission Process

Industry driven education, skil development and sustainability initiatives are the highlights going forward, as SPSU announces admissions for 2026

Udaipur, Jan 31, 2026: AIRA, an in-house AI driven robot was launched by the Sir Padampat Singhania University at Bhatewar near Udaipur on January 31. Developed and designed in-house by students from different streams, AIRA provides real-time admission-related information to the students/parents, reflecting SPSU's focus on indigenous innovation, digital transformation and student-centric activities, said Prof (Dr) Prithvi Yadav, Vice Chancellor of SPSU.

He elaborated that the University has built two robots, the technology for which was developed in-house by three students from the Electronics and Telecommunication stream. The design of its wearable was done by students of the B-Design course and the head area was designed and built using 3D printing technology. One unit has been placed on the SPSU CampuSPSUs while the other is installed in the city office of SPSU at Ashok Nagar in Udaipur.

SPSU Placements

In his address to the media, Prof Yadav also said that SPSU has recorded excellent placement in the past year. Before the current 2025 batch, the University has recorded a maximum placement offer of INR 13 Lac, with the average placement offer being INR 6 Lac. However, in the 2025 batch, where nearly 70% students have been placed at the time of writing this news, the maximum offer has been INR 20 Lac and the average is at INR 6.6 Lac. He said that the students are being trained and driven to secure attractive jobs across diverse sectors, demonstrating the effectiveness of the universities industry-aligned academic framework and strong corporate linkages.

Skill Enhancement

Prof (Dr) Prasun Chakrabarti, the Pro-Vice Chancellor of SPSU said that training programs and skill development programs are being conducted in SPSU by companies like Bajaj Auto and Tata Consultancy Services. After a training period of nearly 6 months, the students are ready to be absorbed in jobs in these companies. SPSU has tied up with Bajaj Auto for the Service Technician Excellence Program (STEP). This program provides advanced technical training and hands-on industry exposure, aimed at enhancing students' technical proficiency and employability. SPSU is a research driven institution, with over 1000+ publications in leading journals and over 45 registered patents, added Prof Chakravarti.

New Courses

Prof Yadav delved on the various additional courses that the university has launched for the current year. BBA in Sports Management and a 5-year MBA with Tech are the two highlighted courses for the coming admission year, he said, apart from the other core curriculums that the university is recognised for.

The Press Conference, held at the SPSU Campus in Bhatewar on Jan 31, 2026 was attended by over 25 persons from the local media and SPSU was represented by the Vice Chancellor - Prof (Dr Prithvi Yadav; Pro-Vice Chancellor - Prof (Dr) Prasun Chakravarti; Registrar - Prof (Dr) Udayprakash R Singh; Dean - Prof (Dr) Amit Kumar Goel, Dy Dean (FIAT) - Prof Naveen Kumar and Digital Head - Dr Ashutosh Gupta, among others.
