Revised election schedule was released by Rajasthan Government’s higher education department yesterday. Nomination filing date has been changed to August 30.
It may be noted that PM Modi will address a public gathering at KhelGaon on 29-Aug. Over 2 Lakh people are expected to come for the gathering. This would require heavy security arrangements and considering this the student union elections have been postponed.
Prof JP Sharma, VC MLSU acknowledged the receipt of the revised schedule and said that they would comply with the directions to ensure peaceful election.
Election in other parts of the state would be held on 28-Aug and results are expected to be announced on the same day.
