Students exhibit Innovative Models at District Level Science Fair
Despite the lack of infrastructure and facilities available, 11th and 12th standard school students from Government schools put up a majestic display of innovative projects in the Science fair at Mahaveer Academy today.

Models presented by students in the area of Maths, Science and touching on themes of environment and population, left the visitors spellbound.
Interestingly, a visually impaired student of Blind School also presented his model in the fair. Students exhibited several self made models related to agriculture, environment conservation and attempted to showcase how best science can be used to make life healthier and happier.
Sohan Mali, a 12th class student from Vallabhnagar Government School demonstrated the use water pressure for running heavy vehicles like earthmovers.
In another innovative model, Harish Acharya used salt and cowdung’s mixture for charging a used battery. He operated bulb, fan and also charged his mobile phone via the technique.
Another student Kamini Paliwal showed the use of sensors for automatically operating road lights. She said that the sensors ensure that the lights are turned off as soon as they receive sun rays and are turned on as soon as it gets dark. Kamini is studying at Govt. School, Jagdish Chowk. A student of same school, Nisha Gaud showcased Artificial Rain System.
The clear center of attraction was Akash Gaud. Akash is visibly impaired and is studying in Schools for Blind. He is the first physically challenged student to take part in any such event. Akash presented a model to showcase how energy is produced from waterfall at dam.
