Students have been warned by police administration not to paste any posters or banners in the city regarding election of student union. It has been strictly advised to refrain from covering the city’s walls and sign boards with election posters, stickers and banners. Anyone found overstepping the law will be dealt with extreme strictness.

Police administration warned the students that action will be taken under Rajasthan Prevention of Defacement of Property Act, 2006 and FIR will be registered if any poster or banner with reference to elections of student union is found anywhere in the city. This step was recently followed in Jaipur and FIR was registered against students of Rajasthan University.

It has also been clarified that no external person can be a part of elections, rallies cannot be carried out and action will also be taken if there is any student in hostel other than the registered ones. All this was declared in a meeting held with the students. DSP Bhagwat Singh Hinger, Pratapnagar CI Hanuwant Singh, Bhupalpura CI Harendra Singh Sauda, President of Student Union Bhawani Shanker, Vice-President Dinesh Dangi, Law-College President Navin Menaria and Arts College President Mahesh Roat were present in this meeting.

Students of Meera Girls College have already pasted posters and banners in the college campus.
