Rajasthan Schools to Observe Swami Vivekananda Jayanti on Jan 12
Director of Elementary and Secondary Education in Rajasthan Sitaram Jat issues instructions to hold educational and creative activities in all government and private schools in State
Jan 12, 2026 - On the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, various educational and creative programmes will be organised on January 12 in all government and private schools across the State. Official orders in this regard were issued by Director of Elementary and Secondary Education in Rajasthan Sitaram Jat .
According to the instructions, schools are to organise activities such as speech competitions, drawing, essay writing and other creative programmes. Through these activities, the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda and his message for the youth are to be conveyed to students.
The orders also direct schools to ensure the participation of School Management Committee (SMC), SDMC members and public representatives so that the programme are conducted effectively with community involvement.
To promote the spirit of self-reliance and indigenous values among students, activities like Run for Swadeshi will also be organised.
The Director of Education instructed the Chief District Education Officers and District Project Coordinators to ensure proper and effective implementation of the prescribed programmes in all schools within their respective jurisdictions.
