-The reopening of schools will require its own SOP.

-It is not possible to accomodate all students in a class.

The impact of festival season is likely to affect the re-opening of schools as the festival of Diwali is just a little close and how the masses react to the festival season during this pandemic era is to be seen.

The state education department is likely to take a final call on the reopening of schools in the coming days. A meeting was held on Wednesday to discuss whether the schools should be reopened in early November or delayed until December.

Some of the ministers were of the opinion that schools should be opened only after November. During the meeting, the officials discussed the ground situation related to the corona cases in the state. Even the schools and the teachers need to be prepared to meet emergencies. The reopening of schools will require its own standard opening procedure (SOP) since there are almost 70,000 schools and 85 lakh students.

The fact that festive season is round the corner with Diwali on 14th November, it is to be seen that the impact of the virus cannot be predicted and this would certainly affect the reopening of schools. Also that it is not at all possible to accommodate all students in the classrooms.
