A pioneer in innovative education in her own right, Asha Singh had been ill for quite a few months now and on 20th May, she left for her heavenly abode, enveloping gloom over the education and academic fraternity of the city.
Singh, who took over the reins of The Study, founded by her mother O. Joshi in 1982, was a well known personality of the city and was actively involved in the administration of Junior Study and The Study. She was well known for her work in developing education standards, strong administration, and was always open to innovation in delivering education.
A condolence meeting (Baithak) will be held today at the Singh residence at Khudala Complex, Ambavgarh.
