Cracking the Common Admission Test is a dream for every MBA aspirant and today was the much awaited day for all those big-dreamers who appeared in the CAT-2011 examination, the results of the test were declared today.

Apurva Singhi (99.6 percentile), Ravi Shankar (99.5 percentile) and Akshat Jain (99.4 percentile) are the top 3 students from Udaipur who stood out from the crowd of hundreds of other students who had appeared for the exam.Around 2 lakhs students from all over India appeared in the examination, out of which 500-800 students were from Udaipur.

Vineet Baya, faculty from PT Education said, “Apurva and other students from Udaipur have performed well, we have 19 students above 90 percentile and 9 out of them are those who have scored above 95.” He added, “Calls from IIMs will definitely increase this year as the number of institutes has increased.”

Ravi Shankar who scored 99.5 percentile said, “I am very happy with the results and much of the credits go to my institute IMS, now I hope to do well in GD and PI too. And this year as non IIM institutes are also accepting the CAT score, I look forward to get into IIT.” Ravi had completed his engineering in 2010 from Ranchi and was working for his own business since last 2 years.

Sanjay Panwar, Director of IMS informed us, “We have 32 students who have scored above 90 percentile and around 85 students above 85 percentile, but still the results are not as per our expectation as many students have problem with the verbal scores.”

IIM Udaipur has increased their intake from 70 to 120 seats, along with IIMs of Tiruchirapalli and Raipur. This will definitely increase the opportunity for more aspirants to get admission into the prestigious business school of India.
