What happens when hope takes form of Spiderman saving people, Power puff girls fighting with mojo jojo, Superman flying up in the air, colorful butterflies dancing on flowers & Mickey Mouse making funny faces? The answer is “UMEED”.

“UMEED” is an Animation Training program initiated by “Udaipur Mahila Evam Baal Vikas Samiti” with Eden Animation Studio Pvt. Ltd. as knowledge partner. EDEN has appeared with a noble mission of educating physically challenged (especially Polio affected; difficulties in moving) students with the knowledge of Animation and providing them unique career opportunities and livelihood in this hugely prosperous computer/ software/ artistic skill based field.

From past 4 months this free of cost program is successfully running with the help of two teachers Pradeep and Saurabh. Pradeep says that grasping power of these physically challenged children is more than the normal students.

At present 25 children in age group of 8-22 years are learning animations on 15 computers provided by Eden. When they were asked to show their work, Vijesh Meena (19 yr) very enthusiastically opened up his folder to showcase all creative files. Tara Meena (13 yr.) projected a beautiful building with national flag waving at top.

They are learning basic characters, character modeling, body turn around etc. which are part of 2-D. After getting expertise in 2-D, they will be taught 3-D. Duration of complete course is one year that includes Basic program, Pre-production Process & Matte Painting, Digital Animation, Post Production Process & Advance Diploma Project. After the program completion some of them will get chance to work with Eden Studio itself, based on there project work.

Udaipur Mahila Evam Baal Vikas Samiti

With vision of educating physically challenged children and skill development among women of downtrodden section, Smt. Shakuntala Goswami founded Mahila Evam Baal Vikas Samiti on 2 August, 1987. The society started in a hut at “Kacchi Basti” with some orphan and physically challenged children. This tough journey of service went smooth with many humble social workers and today “sanjeevni handicapped hostel” and various other services are running successfully. “Umeed” animation centre is extension of same vision and service.

Future Plans:

• To built hostel and well facilitate Animation Studio for 100 children at 85,000 sq.ft. plot of society at Parakhet.
• Society also aims to work for widow women and families that are living below than BPL.

Why are we saying this??

To let you know that there are people who just do not say that they will bring change. They are actually doing it. This Society has seen very tough phase, they are registered NGO but funding is totally based on donations. For there future plans they seek donations, help and prayers. Can you do any one of it?
