The Rajasthan Center of Advanced Technology (R-CAT) at Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, is attracting a lot of young people interested in advanced technology courses. R-CAT holds a quiz competition every 2-3 months to select students for these courses. Through this quiz, students can win scholarships that cover up to 100% of the course fees.
Topics Included
So far, over 60 students have won scholarships and are now being trained at R-CAT's center in Sukhadia University and the I-Start Incubation Center at the Udaipur Collectorate. These students are learning topics like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity, Robotics, Data Analysis, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Blockchain, Augmented Reality, and Virtual Reality.
Prestigious Companies Offers Scholarships
Recently, the state government approved 20 new courses, including GIS, Salesforce, Digital Marketing, and DevOps. Eight of these courses will be offered with full scholarships. The goal is to equip students with skills in emerging technologies and help them earn global certifications. Prestigious companies like VMware, SAS, Oracle, Red Hat, and Microsoft offer these scholarships through the quiz competition.
R-CAT Working with Other Institutions
Apart from Sukhadia University, R-CAT is working with other well-known institutions like Rajasthan Technical University, Sikkim Manipal University, Vivekananda Global University, Banasthali Vidyapith, and Maulana Azad University in Jodhpur.
According to Dr. Avinash Panwar, Director of the Computer Center at Sukhadia University, the selected students are currently receiving training, and a new lab dedicated to this will be ready soon.
The state government also announced that new Information Technology labs will be built under R-CAT at divisional headquarters, including Udaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Bharatpur, and Bikaner. In Udaipur, four labs will be built at Sukhadia University with a budget of Rs 4 crores. These labs should be completed by December and will provide customized training based on real-world examples.
