Udaipur, January 15, 2025 - Udaipur's performance in the Shala Darpan Rankings has fallen drastically, ranking 33rd in December, the lowest it has ever been. This sharp decline has raised concerns about the efficiency of local authorities.
Udaipur’s Score Drops Significantly
In December, Udaipur scored 23.3, a sharp drop from 39.4 in November. The district had ranked 22nd in November. The top-ranked district, Sikar, scored 53, highlighting the significant gap between Udaipur and the leaders.
Other District Rankings in the Division
In comparison to Udaipur, other districts in the division have performed better. Dungarpur is ranked second with a score of 49.9. Chittorgarh is seventh with 45.5, Rajsamand tenth with 43.7, Bhilwara eleventh with 43.5, Pratapgarh seventeenth with 38.3, and Banswara twenty-eighth with 27.9.

Director Issues Orders for Improvement
Ashish Modi, the Director of Secondary Education in Udaipur, has instructed authorities to closely monitor Udaipur and the other two districts at the bottom of the rankings Jalore and Dholpur. The aim is to improve their positions in the rankings.
Shala Darpan Data System
The Shala Darpan Rankings are based on 44 data points from government schools. These include details on the school’s category, educational quality, staff count, enrollment, resources, and more. Schools are required to upload this information every month on the Shala Darpan portal to assess each district’s performance.
