Udaipur to Get Its First Veda School by March 2025

The department plans to establish Veda Schools in every division of Rajasthan; admissions will have no restrictions in the initial phase

Udaipur, January 24, 2025 - The Sanskrit Education Department is planning to open Udaipur's first Veda School by March 2025. Initially, the school will function temporarily in the Sanskrit College building, with a campus to be constructed later. The Veda School will teach students all four Vedas (Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda, and Atharvaveda), Rituals, and Astrology. Admissions will have no restrictions in the initial phase, making the school accessible to all.

Inspection by Department Director
Priyanka Jodhavat, Director of the Sanskrit Education Department, visited the Sanskrit College on January 23, 2025, to inspect the land for the project. She reviewed the existing college campus and the office of the Divisional Sanskrit Education Officer.

Future Plans for the Division
The department plans to establish Veda Schools in every division of Rajasthan. After Udaipur, a school will be opened in Vallabhnagar, where 10 bighas of land have already been allocated by the District Collector. In Udaipur, 20 bighas of land near the Sanskrit College campus are available for the school building, which Jodhavat inspected during her visit.
