A team, under guidance of Collector Namit Mehta, is on high alert; ADM Administration and Exam Coordinator Deependra Singh Rathore has called for strict adherence to Board’s guidelines
Udaipur, January 25, 2025 - The district administration has geared up to ensure the smooth conduct of the upcoming Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (REET) 2025, which is scheduled by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education, Ajmer, on February 27 and 28.
The REET 2025 exams in Udaipur will be conducted at 55 centres across three shifts. On February 27, the first shift will be from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm for Level I, with 18,280 candidates. The second shift will be from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm, for Level II with 18,152 candidates. On February 28, the exam will again be for Level II and will be held from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm with 18,268 candidates.
Adherence to Board Instructions – ADM
Under the guidance of District Collector Namit Mehta, the Udaipur team is on high alert to ensure that everything goes off smoothly. ADM Administration and Exam Coordinator Deependra Singh Rathore held a meeting yesterday with area and zonal officers. Additionally, a training session for centre heads, paper coordinators, flying squads and other staff was conducted at the Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Residency, in the seminar hall.
Expert trainers explained the responsibilities of the staff in accordance with the Board’s guidelines. ADM Rathore stressed on the need to conduct competitive exams with full transparency with the Chief Minister and Chief Secretary constantly monitoring the process. Therefore, every staff member involved in the exam must perform their duties with utmost seriousness and assist in conducting the exam smoothly, he emphasised, and directed strict adherence to the Board's instructions.
The meeting was attended by ADM City War Singh, Land Acquisition Officer Kirti Rathore, Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) Secretary Hemendra Nagar, OSD UDA Jitendra Ojha, Smart City CEO KP Singh Chauhan, Additional Commissioner, Devasthan Department, Ashok Kumar, Deputy Commissioner TAD Ragini Damor, Deputy Director Autonomous Governance Vinod Kumar, Control Room In-Charge Dr Mahamaya Prasad Choubisa and other officials.
Inspection of Exam Centres
ADM Rathore informed that on February 26, all area and zonal officers will conduct a thorough inspection of the exam centres assigned to them. During this visit, they will ensure that there are no charts or electronic devices in classrooms and confirm that photocopy machines or Internet facilities are not available at the locations where the exam papers will be stored.
ADM Rathore has informed that according to the Board’s guidelines and directions issued by the Chief Secretary during the VC meeting, hostels within a 100-metre radius of exam centres will remain closed. E-Mitra centres and photocopy shops will also be fully shut down during the examination.
Help Desks to be Set Up
Help desks will be established for the convenience of candidates traveling from outside Udaipur. The Udaipur Nagar Nigam has identified three community halls with arrangements for 100 beds each, where outstation candidates can stay.
Additionally, a control room for the REET exam has been set up. The contact number for the control room is 0294-2414620. Dr Choubisa, a lecturer at the Government Maharana Aacharya Sanskrit College, will head the control room, ensuring all activities are conducted as per the guidelines until completion of the exam.
