Udaipur Gets Over Rs 8 Cr Under APJ Abdul Kalam Student Scheme

Scheme aims to enhance practical knowledge, leadership and self-confidence for 350 students in Udaipur

Udaipur, Nov 18, 2025 - The Secondary Education Department has allocated Rs 8,43,15,000 to the Udaipur division under the APJ Abdul Kalam Personality Development Scheme for the financial year 2025-26. This amount will be spent on the personality development and study tour programmes of 350 selected students.

The aim of the scheme is to provide students with practical experiences along with educational activities to promote their overall development. . Selected students will get opportunities to participate in educational tours, workshops, training programmes and personality development activities, ensuring that their learning goes beyond textbooks to include practical knowledge, leadership skills, and self-confidence.

According to departmental documents, Udaipur’s allocated budget will be used as follows:

  • Rs 11.45 lakh for stipends and specialised services
  • Rs 1.43 lakh for training, tours and conferences
  • Rs 7 lakh for contractual expenses
  • Rs 56 lakh for special activities and programmes

A total budget of Rs 49.86 crore has been approved for 2,070 students across the State, with Udaipur receiving the largest share. DEO Lokesh Bharti said this initiative will provide equal opportunities to both rural and urban students and enhance their competitive abilities.
